Below are the basic steps for the EVD procedure using LumiNE Elite. Detailed instructions can be found in the following pages, see Preparation Steps, Planning, Image-to-Patient Registration, EVD Placement.

1. Upload scan to Lumi Web

2. Create 3D patient

3. Open 3D patient in Lumi HL2

4. Plan EVD trajectory

5. Plan anatomical landmarks on 3D patient

6. Prepare patient for surgery

7. Attach head device and reference marker

8. Verify reference marker and calibrate it if needed​

9. Place anatomical landmarks on patient

10. Perform Image-to-Patient Registration

11. Verify Image-to-Patient Registration​

12. Adjust EVD trajectory if needed

13. Deattach unsterile reference marker

14. Prepare EVD placement

15. Attach sterile reference marker

16. Calibrate reference marker again if needed

17. Adjust EVD trajectory if needed

18. Place EVD using the information displayed with Lumi Referenced
