​3D Patient Adjustments

The Lumi Web application allows you to manually adjust 3D models. You can use this function to reshape a 3D model and improve segmentation inaccuracies.

Use the following steps to visualize a 3D model together with a scan and refine the outline of a 3D model:

1. Enter Shape Edit mode by;

   • Selecting Edit in the Verification Workflow, or;

   • Select the 3D model in the hologram menu, and select Shape Edit in the submenu

2. ​Drag the outline of the 3D model to the desired position, a red point will appear​

3. Repeat this for a few points per slice

4. Press 'Apply' if you are satisfied with the changes

5. Repeat steps 1-4 for a few scan slices in coronal, sagittal and axial directions

6. Use the following functions if needed:

   • Add points: drag the outline of the 3D model to a desired location​

   • Remove points: remove a point

   • Sensitivity slider: use the slider to adjust the sensitivity of the outline change. Small value: only a small part of the outline changes. Large value: a large part of the outline changes.

   • x0.1: slow movement of the outline of the 3D model. This function is enabled by default and allows for more controlled outline changes.

   • Undo: undo your latest change

   • Apply: apply your shape edit changes to the 3D model

7. Save the 3D patient with your shape edited 3D model​

• Note: The total shape is edited with this method, not only the outline on the selected​ scan slice.
